Hey Andy & Other Tech Savvy Climbers,
I have built a simple landing page in Thrive Themes that I hope to launch a.s.a.p.
http://www.santecraftcocktails.com/
The banner image includes the graphics images for our social media accounts (all part of the same image). See top right corner of the banner image. I would like to be able to slice these and make them all active links to our social media accounts.
Can I do this in Thrive Themes?
If it is relatively simple & quick, is there anyone I could pay to do this for me?
Thanks everyone!
Cheers,
Chris
Hey Chris. We use Divi theme which is drag and drop modules and super easy to build anything in.
Chris,
I’m sure you can have the image sliced on fiverr or wherever, but the question is reassembling it in a way that looks good across platforms (desktop, mobile, etc).
I would take the social media icons out of the image and make the image in the background on a container in Thrive and put each social media icon in that container as its own thing.
HTH
Thanks Dr Dwayne, that general idea makes sense. What do you mean by “container” on thrive? Would the social media images still appear over the image or would they be there own bar? Thanks!
I love the page so much more Chris. Great update on it. It’s clean and simple. Let’s the words and video speak for themselves, which is great.
Chris, I don’t remember what Thrive calls their “containers” — maybe it is a row. The idea being, it is an item you can place in your layout that can contain other items (and it can have its own properties like background, etc).
I’ll look when I’m at a computer later (rather than on my phone) and get you the actual term if you haven’t sorted it out by then.
Thanks, Dr Wayne, you saved the day again!
I was unfamiliar with what a “container” was. So yes, you can create “content containers” in thrive and overlay active links over an existing image.
Thanks again, problem solved!
Looks awesome, Chris!!!
Glad to help, Chris. The idea of styling a container and then putting other stuff inside it lets you build some great layouts. “Enjoy” playing with it! 🙂
I would actually not fuss with it.
Here’s the thing… You want people to do one single action at a time.
Right now you are asking me to simultaneously sign up, share, and check out your social media accounts.. what one is it?
My approach would be to remove the share buttons and social media stuff altogether, and then place them in a prominent location on the thank you page.
Sign up > Share > Explore our other accounts
Rather than ask them to do it all at once 😉
Additionally, I would remove the text bit about “no obligation for kickstarter”.. its just not needed and slightly confusing without watching the video. Just sell me on what i get when i opt-in and leave it at that.
Also, change the font color of the button to white.. It’s hard to see the black text against the dark green background 😉
Lastly, if you remove the social media buttons, id probably even just center the logo on the top banner…
Simplicity is key.
