I love that these challenges are making me finish writing my course.
I shall be scripting my Mysterious Forest and making storyboards. Never been good at the storyboard thing, but hey… that’s the beauty of the challenges. Always make me do something new.
- At minimum, a first draft script for all of your video lessons. (word-for-word baby!) I have a lot of lessons, so will be head down for a fair while
- A simple storyboard (drawn or written) that describes each video (background, scene, shots, what you’re wearing, etc.) I can do this. KISS being the key
- Update your (min.) once per week with lessons learned Yup, very doable
- Share a link to your scripts and storyboards when done (we always wrote ours in Google docs) Must remember Google docs
March 6, 2018 at 10:12 am #70224Okay… Here’s my google doc and I’ll update as I go along.
March 6, 2018 at 7:31 pm #70306Well, lets make some more magic! Had a brief look through your script and you are off to a fabulous start with the scripting
March 7, 2018 at 6:48 am #70371Thank you @fiona my gorgeous buddy!
March 12, 2018 at 2:03 am #70731Not particularly scripting in an order, but as I read a section and get inspired. Not great at drawing, so currently writing out my storyboards – will attempt something drawn if possible.
Have a heavy month as I’m currently scoring applications for midwifery awards and have a theatre board meeting this week, and a lot of meetings with members of another board that I’m joining as Chair, at the end of the month.
So, Monday morning. Head back down to do some scripting, scoring and admin.
March 12, 2018 at 5:23 am #70738Great progress. Glad you are doing the challenge this month. I too have heavy work load this month, but I got a third of my lesson scripted this weekend, which makes me very happy and more confident I can complete the challenge in time.
March 13, 2018 at 5:23 am #70824Well done @stavido
I’ve been asked to write some articles for a large birth journal here in the UK, about twins. So, clearly I keep adding to my plate.
The scripting is coming along. I have a wee blockage when it comes to some of the final scripts, but I’m ignoring them this week to give my brain space. Meanwhile, I’m beavering away at the rest.
March 13, 2018 at 1:44 pm #70857@mars – You are doing great work, very inspiring. Can you write some articles that do double duty for your course? If it’s possible, that would be working smart!
March 13, 2018 at 1:48 pm #70862That’s my plan lovely @laurakoller To create some ever green content that I can use both in articles and for the course. I am repurposing and expanding the course content that I use in the face to face workshops. I am also trying to think of a killer line/phrase to pop on a bag. My current bag, which gets people talking and asking for my card says ‘Birth is for pussies’ – created by the divine Carriagehouse Birth (on your side of The Pond).
March 13, 2018 at 2:50 pm #70872Hopefully this is inspiring for your creative process this month @mars
March 14, 2018 at 8:39 am #70956Thank you @bradleytmorris I have watched it, taken notes and am about to put it into practise. Sorry not to have made the call. I had a prior appointment.
March 14, 2018 at 3:42 pm #70992This award winning doula has more news.
I’ve been asked to contribute an article to a huge birth organisation’s journal. Not only that, but I’ve been asked to write a book on twins for them. Not as in depth as the twin book that I’ve been planning for ages, but a book that will be part of their well respected library. Oh and I’ve also been asked to guest editor another of their journals in the autumn, and yes, write a book about BAME women (women of colour) and birth.
So.. if you don’t see me for a while… that’ll be why.
March 19, 2018 at 4:01 am #71339It’s an incredibly busy week this week. I have some meetings and some postnatal clients to be with. So I’ll be scrawling in my notebook and updating my google doc when I have time this week. But I will still be scripting and storyboarding. I feel my main characters are about to arrive.
March 27, 2018 at 3:14 pm #71786I’ve uploaded 2/3 nutrition documents to my LTMM course.
Mad busy days with clients and board meetings, so lots of scrawling into my notebook. The plan is to get those scripts onto the doc in time for the weekend. I may end up working on it on Good Friday, or Saturday – the final day, but I will get them done.
March 29, 2018 at 6:44 am #71932I’ve finished. I think that I’ve finally finished. Here’s the google doc I’m going to go home… do a couple of things, then have a re read before submitting it.
I can’t quite believe it. It’s done!!!!
