Wow @trish_hyatt,
You have been ROCKING this. Are there videos to be seen yet, or are those still on the way.
Im’ amazed at all the charts, etc that you are creating.
I’m wondering for your login page, should the bull actually be a horse, rather than a bull…? And that question is coming from a bull (taurus).
May 5, 2017 at 12:12 pm #40447Will edit some videos tonight, before midnight. lol
Working equitation is about working livestock from on your horse and the Bull is traditional. He generally has the 4-6″ ring mounted on his back to be speared with the lance while cantering by (or walk or trot in the beginning).
This is not the sales page but the actual course page. It has a join in link in case someone got there on a friends computer or some other obscure way. I still have to make the sales page which will have more info for people who don’t know what it is but my first target market is people who Do know what working equitation is but don’t have the space or money for a lot of obstacles.
This challenge has been so motivating.May 5, 2017 at 10:06 pm #40507
Clicking Login will take you in.2. I am excited by how much I got done. I really do work well under pressure. I’m also surprised at how big this little project became. I’ve received a lot of positive feedback about the concept. It’s something I try to explain to students in clinics verbally but now they’ll be able to purchase the course.
3. I have learned to use the parts I need of Adobe Illustrator. I love it. Will continue to work with it and Photoshop together.
4.In the next 30 days the login page will become the welcome page. Index, The Gate and Triangle Station are only just started but will be finished.
The index will be the direct links to all the different exercises.I’ve focused my progress on the Train Tracks section first which is the smallest.
You’ll see it has a sub-menu of the different obstacles you can practice at that section. I need to finish adding the details and videos to the Train Tracks pages and make the black and white printable diagrams to take to the arena. The videos have all been shot and converted to the right type to edit. There are 82.
Next step edit and choose final ones and upload to Vimeo. Then I need to finish building the rest of the pages for Triangle Station and The Gate Station and their menus and all the printable diagrams.
I have not built the sales page yet which will be accessible through the Join Us link but I have most of the details I want to include from the work I did in Checkpoints 4 and 5.
May 5, 2017 at 11:07 pm #40516Wow, Trish! Everything is terrific:) You’ve been a busy horse lady, haven’t you? I love the look of the site with the simple lines and the horseshoe topic holders are way cool. Looks like you’ve made huge progress—way to go. Or is that trot? Gallup? Lol
Cant wait to see the videos…
Take care.
May 6, 2017 at 3:05 am #40525Hey Trish,
Nice work on the obstacle charts. We just finished our Screw It, We’re Gonna Do It challenge as well.
With my daughter and Elea’s mum being into horses (especially Parelli Technique and Dressage), I’ve been exposed to lots equestrian amazingness.
Your idea is solid, and your attack plan is coming alive. I’ve TONS of experience with Adobe software, and specifically Illustrator and Photoshop. Feel free to reach out if you ever have a question. And, if you are ever looking for good online courses to help with using these, check out Lynda.com

May 6, 2017 at 2:03 pm #40635Congrats Trish @trish_hyatt! Love the professional simplicity of what you’ve created. Supports well that translation from verbal instruction to something online. Funny how something looks so “simple” is quite complex when you look at all the pieces that have to come together.
May 10, 2017 at 12:59 am #41025Great progress Trish!
Loving the clean simplicity of the site. I’ve been obsessing over minimalism lately, particularly in design 🙂
Keep up the great work. Can’t wait to see where this is at in another 30 days.
May 17, 2017 at 12:10 pm #41699So the first of three stations is complete. I did a verbal sales letter in person, and netted a sponsorship deal where I give them 50 copies of my new course to give to riders and judges at the Working Equitation National Show in September and they give me the $2000 Gold Level advertising package which includes mention on their Facebook page, their National show Event page, their website, a Full page color ad in the show program, a banner in the competition arena and one in the stabling area as well as their sage advice to keep it under wraps until I’m ready to launch.
