Ok… so this is wild. As I’m about to commit to this challenge, and take on writing about my transformation that I shared on the call, I pulled up the blog post I had done (and never published) where I started talking about it… and get this… I WROTE IT ON THIS EXACT DATE LAST YEAR! Holy seashells, right?!?? And when I clicked on my phone to see today’s date, the time was 3:33. I’ll take that as a sign(s) that it is time. Also, I was invited on a podcast to talk about this after I do my writing!! YAY!
November 7, 2017 at 1:42 pm #61330@bobbiejo – YAY!ย So glad to see you diving into this challenge.ย What karma!
November 7, 2017 at 2:23 pm #61347@laurakoller – Thank you!!!
Okay, day one log (11-7-17):
My previous unpublished blog post has 963 words (not including a story I share in it with permission).
Today I just wrote 527 NEW words to build on.
I’m seeing this as being a series of posts building upon each other to tell the story.
These will both get some refinements, but right now I am doing the first drafts to work with.
November 7, 2017 at 2:49 pm #61360That’s definitely a sign that you should dive deep into the story and bring it to the surface again ๐
November 8, 2017 at 6:32 am #61400This is a great challenge. So good to see so many on it. Well done @bobbiejo
November 8, 2017 at 12:24 pm #61452Yeay! @bobbiejo I love it when you join the challenges! And it certainly sounds like this one has been calling you…those ‘signs’ have sent shivers down my spine. You clearly need to do this – it was meant to be!
Best of luck! I am looking forward to seeing what you create.
November 8, 2017 at 3:03 pm #61473Thank you @wewontbreak @mars and @saramccann ๐
Day two log: 542 words
These challenges are great. I wouldn’t have written a word today if it weren’t for this!
November 8, 2017 at 5:07 pm #61502I love all the twists and turns of your story.
Love the truth and vulnerability… getting lost and finding yourself again… in small ways that change the tide and course of your life over time…
November 9, 2017 at 2:50 pm #61655Thank you so much, @davidj !!
Ok, first thing: my computer is loading this site really, really, really (did I say really?) slow, so I apologize for not swimming around to comment as much as I would like.. please know I am cheering you all on (and will comment more soon!).
Day Three Log Update: 512 words written
Again, they would not have happened if it weren’t for this challenge. I’m sure they’ll get cleaned up and moved some, but for now it feels good to be getting them down on paper (or a screen). Thank you!
November 9, 2017 at 3:28 pm #61668Same for me, I probably would have startet writing this text “tomorrow” if it wasn’t for the challenge. perfect timing ๐
November 9, 2017 at 4:58 pm #61685Perfect for so many of us. I had started blogging weekly, but fell out of the habit within a month. Writing daily is good. I can get rid of the surface stuff and dig deeper. It really makes me happy to see so many of us going for it.
November 10, 2017 at 10:51 am #61708–just tickled that your writing is surfacing so nicely–sometimes, the universe aligns itself just right, and the word show up where they need to be ๐
November 11, 2017 at 5:58 pm #61854@bobbiejo
You go girl! I feel a tremendous desire to cheer you on!
You have so much soul and authenticity pouring out of you. Let it flow. Let us see the journey you’ve been on that brought you here.
November 12, 2017 at 2:56 pm #61907Thank you so much for all of the support!!!
Updates: Day Four… no words written (at least not for this). A cold bug started to get me down and I rested until my long planned get together in the evening.
Day Five: almost wasn’t going to do it, but then sat down and did 591 words!
Day Six: this cold is kicking my butt and I spent the whole day working on transferring my courses to Teachable, and I still don’t have one complete. Head is foggy, just tried to write and it became more of a babbling journal entry, so I’ll see if something happens later.
Still grateful for this challenge!
November 14, 2017 at 11:19 am #62100Ah, @bobbiejo sending you loving get well wishes! I admire you so much for trying to get on and write, and upload to teachable, and all the other things you need to dive down and do…but sometimes you need to come up for air and rest…a day or two to soothe yourself and hopefully chase this cold away from your kicking your butt won’t break the challenge or your end goals. Look after yourself and chase this cold of yours far away then come back and write some more. The challenge will still be here waiting for you to be back to your sunny, bubbly self.
