Your timeline and intentions feel awesome to me @xbobby. Be sure to document your learning journey in your progress log while you’re away from the mountain learning all those new skills. Share the resources your’e studying with and the things you create while you’re off studying.

I’m looking very forward to watching your creation and skills evolve.

What a delight this project will be to create.

    Week 41:

Hi @bradleytmorris did you know any other here in the mountains who works with Character Animator?

    1. What I intended on accomplishing last week:
      Be familiar with Trello
Find a good way to learn new English words
      Begin with Character Animator
Find tutorials to Character Animator, Photoshop, and Illustrator
      Start on Creator Heights
    2. How things went – the good, bad & ugly:
      Be familiar with Trello
I have my first week with Trello, and it’s good to work with many tasks on an easy way, but the free version has not a good simple overview to the week.
Find a good way to learn English words: I found a free program Anki who are based how much we shall train, so we remember. It works fantastic.

    Begin with Character Animator
It’s an amazing program, but also quite complicated because there are so many different things to do and to remember. I have begun to make an E-learning to myself with my good old eCourse program Articulate2 Where I ask the question, and so I should find the place, on a print screen of the program, it’s a good way to train the many things I should remember.

Find tutorials to Character Animator, Photoshop, and Illustrator
On Udemy.com I find three good tutorials, and they are all deep professional and long, so now I have the beginner tutorials I need.

    Start on Creator Heights
I have only work to ours this week in the mountains, and there I have begun to work with what chapter titles and the structure on the course. I can see that it will take some time because it is the new course I should begin to work with.

    1. Where I’m at now, what’s in my way & what I need?
I have now all the things I need to begin to get the skills I need, and I have give myself four months to learn them.
My way is now to focus most on the programs and skills I need to learn, and take it easy with the mountains, so I have the energy to all the many things I should learn. I look forward to this process, which is exciting and that will update my skills – I really love it
    2. What I’m going to do in the coming week:
Start with the tutorials I have to Character Animator
      Work with Creator Heights.

    Print Screen

You will be using the tools built in to your computer OS to print screen. If you have a PC, look for the snipping tool. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/13776/windows-use-snipping-tool-to-capture-screenshots . Try this if you have a Mac  http://www.macworld.co.uk/how-to/mac/how-take-screenshot-on-mac-3448249/

Trello and task management in general.

Rule number 1: Keep things as simple as possible. You’re time should be spent working on your tasks, not on managing your work.

In general, there are 2 ways to manage tasks. The first way is to work from a list of small tasks. The second way is to schedule tasks on a calendar and set due dates. Trello is great for working with a task list, but is horrible for working with a calendar.

There are excellent tools for scheduling tasks on a calendar. Google Calendar is a good choice https://www.lifewire.com/add-tasks-google-calendar-1616956

If you want to stay with Trello, you’ll have to learn to think differently about managing tasks. 1. For the Great recourse Adventure you are creating progress logs each week. Think about breaking your task list down into smaller tasks, each task should take no more than 1 week to complete, even better if they are just a day or 2. At the beginning of the week, choose the tasks you think you can finish this week – they become your “To Do” list for the week. Your goal is to complete the tasks by the end of the week. If you do – Great! Reward yourself!! If not, celebrate what you’re proud of and move the incomplete tasks to next week.  Using this method, there is no need to use a calendar to schedule the work on a calendar.

    Hope this helps!

    Transformation of stress

    The beginning
They are a place where they feel stress in their life, but they don’t know what they should do with the stress when it came.

    Step one.
They know now why stress came and the about the three levels of stress.

    Step two.
They now know about the four important choices they should make if they will work with their stress efficiently.

    Step Three.
They now know who that can help them when they have stress.

    Step four.
They now know what the best is, for them to do when they get stressed.

    The End.
They have learned about how stress came, and the three different levels of stress, is and how they get less stress in their own lives.

What I intended on accomplishing last week:
Start with the tutorials I have to Character Animator
    Work with Creator Heights.

How things went — the good, bad & ugly:
With Character Animator I have work with two tutorials I have now the basic overview and can begin to navigate in that program. I am fascinated of the program. But it’s not an easy program to learn because there are so many things you should know. It’s quite difficult to navigate the puppet, as I would, but it will come with the time. I think it is the same like golf – you must do it again and again, and one day you can do it.
On Creator Height, I have to make the transformations for my course, and I am begun with the Breaking down mine Lessons Outlines, and use the Lesson Plan Template. I think it will take me 1 to 2 weeks to do that.

Where I’m at now, what’s in my way & what I need?
I need to learn how exports the files from Character Animator, make a rendering and make an mp4 files to Movie, and how I send the files between Photoshop and Character animator.

What I’m going to do in the coming week:
I will work with two new programs next week: After Effect and Media Encoder. This two program shall I use when export and import my work. And I will also learn to send files between Photoshop and Character Animator and the other way as well. I will also work with Breaking down my Lessons Outlines and use the Lesson Plan Template.

@xbobby, you are amazing at learning. Have you ever taught people how to learn? I hope you’re documenting your learning process of how you’re learning all these new skills. So many of us feel hopeless when it comes to learning things like animator. Yet look at you, you made a plan, gave yourself 4-months and you’re going after it. I think that’s incredible and such a valuable skill/trait. Way to go!

I think there are a lot of people in this community who will be inspired by your process of learning.

I look forward ot hearing more of your learning journey. Way to go.

    Hi @bradleytmorris

Thanks for your positive words. I also feel me hopeless with the animations I think it is quite normal. Whit the plans I try to do what you lean me in the mountains, and never give up. I am not sure that I can learn other that, and I know that there always is a way even I can see it yet.

    The Challenge Refined Architecture:

    What
My course is about to be more aware of stress and how to reduce it.

    Who
The course is for adults that have problems with stress in their daily lives and who would like to change this.

    Why
I thought we were living in a world where there is too much stress, and I will love to reduce it.

    How.
I will use 2D animated characters in the different subjects and with exercises.

    Vibe
What makes my course unique is that it is a course that uses dialogue between 2D animated characters.

    Transformation
    The beginning of the Course
They are a place where they feel stress in their life, but they don’t know what they should do with the stress when it came.

    The end of the Course
They have learned about how stress came, and the three different levels of stress, is and how they get less stress in their own lives.

Work with After Effect and Media Encoder. This two-program will I use when export and import my work. And I will also learn to send files between Photoshop and Character Animator and the other way as well.

I will also work with Breaking down my Lessons Outlines and use the Lesson Plan Template.

    2. How things went — the good, bad & ugly:
The task with After Effect and Media Encoder was bigger and difficult than I thought. I can’t save my work in After Effect as an mp4 but should go to a new program called Media Encoder, and the name is now H.264. Strange with the different name for the same thing.
In Camtasia can I save an Mp4 file, and export it to Vimeo, at the same time. But Camtasia doesn’t know the files from Character Animator, so I can’t use the easy method.
I learn to send files from Photoshop and Character Animator, and it works quite well.
I have now made my Lesson Outlines and use the Lesson Plan template.

    3. Where I’m at now, what’s in my way & what I need?
I can see that the many problems with different programs, so that my creativity, is less than normal.
I need at week one week to finish Creatora Heights, so that will be my only focus next week.

    4. What I’m going to do in the coming week:
    The same as I need.
