CREATORA Heights: 1 eCourse Creation Philosophy Exercise

1. What are your key takeaways from today’s lesson on eCourse Philosophy?Pick a topic you are passionate about and express it in a theme that will resonate with your audience.
2. Share any other tools or apps you’ve discovered that would make for an awesome eCourse creation resource.Videos, quizzes, challenges, PDF download exercises

Hey @bradleytmorris. In last Monday’s coaching session you mentioned an app that counts down the days to one’s death. I’m guessing that is Apple’s Deadline. I’m looking for an Androic/PC counterpart. Your thoughts?

Never mind: I found this, which is a web page.

Creatoria Heights: 2. Naming Your Chapter Titles

This is not necessarily for the Walk In the Park eCourse. It may be for the full Adventure. But the Walk In the Park would dive deep into one of the Chapters (Such as the inciting incident, i.e estimating the date of the student’s death) and give an overview of what comes next including all 11 steps.

Your eCourse Creation Exercise of the Day:
1. Identify the key (specific) transformations or steps that need to happen to get your customer to where they want to go (the ultimate transformation). For example, if you look at the Great eCourse Adventure, it is progressive. Each step builds upon the previous. You need to lay it out so you take them from where they are to where they want to be (get out the big paper or whiteboard!).

Depart the comfort zone (An ending)
1. The Call to Adventure
Inciting incident
Dissatisfaction with the ordinary world
2. Refusal of the Call, Resistance, Threshold guardians,
3. Meeting the mentor
4. Crossing the threshold, The departure (Threshold to the unknown)
Wander purposefully (The Neutral Zone, The Hero’s Journey
5. Tests (Challenges & Temptations)
6. Approaching the innermost cave
7. Ordeal The Abyss (Death and Rebirth), Transformation, Atonement,
8. Reward/bliss (Gift of the Goddess
Return (A new Beginning)
9. The Road Back
10. Resurrection
11. Master of two worlds (sharing the gift)

2. Write a brief description of each of those milestones. Describe the transformations or steps with specific details, exercises or notes.

Depart the comfort zone (An ending)
1. The Call to Adventure
Inciting incident, call to adventure: The student estimates the date of death
Dissatisfaction with the ordinary world: The student lists 5 ways they want to change who they are.
and selects bucket list items to support becoming that
2. Refusal of the Call, resistance, threshold guardians
The student learns the typical patterns of resistance
3. Meeting the mentor
The student reviews the help options and makes a decision who to trust
4. Crossing the threshold, The departure
The student decides to move forward
Wander purposefully (The Neutral Zone, The Hero’s Journey)
5. Tests Challenges & Temptations
The student travels the bucket list journey
6. Approaching the innermost cave
7. The ordeal, The Abyss (Death and Rebirth), Transformation, Atonement,
The student encounters transformative experiences on the bucket list
8. Reward (Gift of the Goddess)
Return (A new Beginning)
9. The Road Back
10. Resurrection
11. Master of two worlds (sharing the gift)
The student returns to the ordinary world with a mission to share the transformation with others

@bradleytmorris

Loving where you’re going with this Paul. You’ve come far in the couple weeks you’ve been on the mountain with us. Way to go!

Curious if you have a vision for how you want to do the video side of your eCourse lessons yet?

I’m excited for you. This is going to be such a transformational experience for people.

Thanks @bradleytmorris. About the video side of things. I have all the equipment, software, and experience to do talking head and powerpoint style videos. I’m looking forward to learning how to take this to the next level with more location and interview based experiences.

By the way, based on your information on MightyNetworks.com in last Monday’s coaching webinar, I did some investigation about this. Attached are my notes (please use the 2nd version( on what I learned about Identity Networks from a few YouTube videos. I set one up at https://my-deep-bucket-list.mn.co/members/905729 (nothing there yet). I also reserved the domain name mydeepbucketlist.com, which I’ll point there when I’m ready.

I look forward to learning more about MightyNetworks.com at next Monday’s coaching session.

For the past few days I’ve bee exploring Mighty Networks (MN), as recommended in one of the GEA Monday coaching sessions. Based on a guide MN produced, I’ve drafted the attached community strategy. I’d love feedback.

@paulcj2 I really loved reading your two blog posts about the bucket list, especially the part about letting your ‘doing’ flow from your ‘being.’ I recently heard a speaker say that when you are confused about what to do and things seem unclear, to stop and take inventory of what you ARE clear on. I have been busy doing my ‘homework’ for the GEA checkpoints. But your blog reminded me to stop this afternoon and write down who I want to BE so that my purpose guides everything I DO. Thanks so much!

Thanks, @kari. I’d love for you to post what you just said in the comments section of my blog post.

Also, I just put up a third post in the series.

Thanks @kari!

By the way, I’m considering setting up a Mighty Networks group for folks who want to clarify who they want to be. If this interests you, it would help if you could answer three questions for me. I put a survey at the bottom of my next post in the series third post in the series. Thanks again for your comments.

Attached are the two other lesson outlines (in addition to the first one which I pasted above) in my initial eCourse. I’m going to keep it short and sweet. Just one lesson in each of the three checkpoints. This will serve as a sort of sample platter for the fuller eCourse to come later
