Unfortunately, I didn’t get as far with my ideas or final ‘pre-holiday’ effort as I hoped as Dad was rushed into hospital in the early hours of yesterday morning and most of my time since then has been sat on a hard plastic chair in a corridor! (rolls eyes)

I did manage to do a quick rough draft of my rewards idea though. I have been struggling with the idea for reward images and then, thanks to @Laurakoller ‘s suggestion of  tying the picture in together with the same background, frame or the like I started to wonder about ways of doing this. My thought is to have the rewards as photo’s (so much easier to find relevant photos than vectors!) However, they shall all be displayed as a polaroid image. So it becomes like a travel scrapbook, photos from their journey out of Nicotraz, a collection of their memoirs so to speak. I have looked for a scrapbook kind of image but getting the right amount of pictures in there, and how to display it, has stumped me. So I wonder if it could simply be a ‘wall of achievement’ and every time they complete a module they get a new polaroid picture stuck up on their wall. Something like this:

Not sure how easy this will be to create in Mighty Networks, or if it is possible at all BUT that’s a headache for another day! 😉

I did also manage to get the PDF written for module 4, the Snake Pit, and it is half typed up in Canva now but not complete enough in order to share it yet. This means that I now have 5 more modules to do the content for, and when I look over what there is to present and create, it really isn’t a lot. Most of the PDF’s in the course have been done and the remaining content creation is mostly small exercises for students to do.

So, whilst I am disheartened I haven’t got all the ecourse work done and reached launch summit before I go on this holiday, I am also uplifted by the fact that I’m only a hop, skip and jump away from it!

See you all in two weeks or so – I’m off to meet Mickey! (eek!) and breathe!

Oooh, and one more thing I should mention about the reward photos, is that I will look and try to find images of the articles they are rewarded with that have the same scenery and background (or as similar as possible) as the stage they were at in Nicotraz when they received it. So it actually looks like the picture was taken at that point in the journey.  Or at least, that’s the plan! 😉

I’m so sad to hear about your dad’s most recent health scare. I hope he recovers with great buoyancy.

As for the polaroids – this is such a great idea, especially combined with that last video when you “fast forward” through each of the steps in the journey.

I find that my greatest insights come not when I’m working at it, but rather when I’m “stuck” doing other things. So perhaps Mickey will bring you some new insights.

Wishing safe and healthy travels for you and your family.

A slight delay in my return, a huge gap in my life that hurts like hell and a ginormous thank you to my buddy for sticking by my side throughout it. X

I have written my first ever blog post for Mindtrix (excuse the site itself as I just threw it up to be able to write the post) that should explain everything.

@saramccann – This is such a beautiful tribute to your dad, written with such love and care.  I love the photos you’ve inserted in there.  My eyes are filled with tears – and if I wasn’t at work right now I’m sure I would be sobbing.  I love how you relate this story back to your course and something much bigger than your relationship with your father.  This is so powerful.  Thank you for sharing.

Thank you so very much @xbobby @joanthan@jste and @laurakoller Your kind words and support mean a great deal to me!

So in the past month, since Dad’s passing, I have been trying to turn the negative energy I feel into something positive and get this ecourse done. I am so close I can smell it!! lol Days away now.

Here are all the reward snaphots for completing every module. They are meant to get ‘lighter’ in colour as they progress, just as the videos do.

I have also received all my mp3 recordings back today. Initial checks through them show that there are some things that need to be changed but I will start working my way through them and hopefully get them sorted as soon as . Once they are finalised I will present the entire first module (which is to be given away for free) on here so you can see how it all fits together hopefully. Or at least I will once the sales page is finished too! 🙂 (there’s always something else to do!)

@saramccann Fantastic picture you have chosen and the way you have set them up, say if there is anything we can help you with.
