I posted 3 episodes today (assuming they all qualify) and one is particularly exciting!

Changing World Project is about being prepared for changing times while staying optimistic and rooted in nature.

    1. Today I did a Facebook live interview of a girl who is in Orlando preparing for Hurricane Irma to strike. We debrief her preparations, talk about the importance of a good attitude, what she has learned from the experience so far and talk about grassroots community strategy beyond Irma for adapting to the new realities of climate change.

We had the most interactive live crowd I have ever had, a bunch of folks messaged me afterward to tell me how awesome the interview was, over 350 fb views so far and a bunch of folks I don’t have started following my Facebook Group as a result. And on top of it, I was able to offer her some real tangible ideas to help her get better prepared and, everyone, watching learned. IT WAS AWESOME!

Here is the link to watch on Facebook – https://www.facebook.com/groups/ChangingWorldProject/

I’m also going to post it on YouTube and post the audio only on my Anchor station

    2) I started my Anchor.fm station this morning and did my first two broadcasts. It was SO FRICKIN easy. I have had 6 or 7 ppl listen to each short episode already and 3 people that I don’t know have already followed my station.

I’m going to try and do more than 10 Anchor posts in the next month. Mostly short ones.

Here is my Anchor station, The Changing World Show – https://anchor.fm/s/11a1098

I have a few ppl in mind for longer podcast like episodes as well and will try and record 2 – 3 of these this month:

    • A follow-up with the girl I interviewed tonight after the Hurricane has passed
    • One of my Martial Arts instructors who has been on an incredible mission of self-reliance and has a pretty amazing story around his strategy and plans
    • A Doctor friend who just launched a new book and can speak to self-reliance in healing and health
    • A friend of mine who just got back from tracking wildlife in Africa
    • I want to find a few ppl who have had wild survival experiences and lived to tell about it as well.

As you can tell I’m excited about audio! I’ll be back to report soon.

    Cheers,

    Chris G

Wow @ChrisG, this is so cool. IT would be awesome to send the interview to some Florida media sources (newspapers, radio and TV stations). If even one picked up the story and interviewed you, it could be HUGE for you. Keep doing these. Keep showing up where the people need you.

I’m so happy for you, your momentum and the great work you’re doing.

    Update:

I uploaded the first interview I did to YouTube. It has gotten really great feedback thus far from the Facebook Livestream. I interview a friend in Orlando a day before Hurricane Irma is about to hit about what is going on and how she is getting ready. If your interested you can check it out here – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3WEaEc9fjM

I have been doing daily and sometimes twice a day, broadcasts on Anchor.fm for the past 4 days. I think I have about 7 episodes up now. Here is a little of what I am learning:

    • I am getting 6 – 812 ppl listening per episode so far. a handful are from my social media shares and the other handful seem to be organic. This number has grown by a person or 2 every episode. Thus it seems like growing organic reach may be possible here – that’s good
    • I have not really looked into how to better rank on anchor.fm to improve this

What I like about Anchor so far:

    • How easy it is
    • That I can do it on my phone
    • Being able to add the background music so easily

What I don’t like so far:

    • I do find the app kind of confusing to navigate, both around my own station and when I visit other people stations. I worry about ppl coming across my channel but not being able to find my content
    • I admit I need to spend more time understanding how it all works still but it seems easier to record then it does to navigate and find stuff which could be a downside for it growing as a platform.
    • I also just noticed that the platform does not even rank well in google.

    Next Steps:

    • Keep up with daily Anchor audio casts
    • Spend an hour or two learning how to navigate and best utilize Anchor better
    • Conduct another longer interview with someone cool!

    Cheers.,

    Chris G
