Hi
We are getting close to launching and looking for somebody help with a professional video to go on our pre-sales page. I am open to paying / or for some kind of return service. I will do the filming and then can forward the MP4 files.
It will be about 2 – 3 weeks away.
Anyone keen?
Cheers
Dave
October 5, 2017 at 2:18 pm #57558Hey David, can you provide more details on what you’re looking for?
Length of video?
Green screen or other?
Music? Effects?
Intro/Outro logo reveal?Anything else you can share?
Paint a picture and it’ll help the right person know if they can help.
October 5, 2017 at 7:22 pm #57590Thanks Brad
Length of Video – 2 / 3 minutes (maybe 1 close in shot and 1 far shot)
Green screen – yes I will suggest some backdrops but open to suggestions that will in support of the course’s theme – Business course while learning Chinese culture
Music – yes I will provide the music (it will be Chinese music – probably fade out after the intro graphic and then during the conclusion graphic)
Effects – list of points in a graphic next to the person presenting the overview of the course
Intro / Conclusion – I will provide our logo but intro and conclusion will be title page the outlines the courses name with some Chinese music and then fades to the person talking. Conclusion will be a graphic with some text about our course with our logo and music in the background
I will record the person talking about the course with a green screen in the background. We would use the video on our pre-sales page and possibly / facebook / linkedin.
My creative skills are limited and only this week have I started to play / learn about camtasia – so open to ideas 🙂
Cheers
Dave
October 6, 2017 at 11:24 am #57670Awesome, this is helpful.
Tip for shooting:Â
- Make sure you have good quality audio. test the audio before shooting in your location, to make sure it doesn’t sound echo’y or empthy. If it’s an empthy room/studio/garage, you can hang soft fabrics (clothes/sleeping bags/foam, etc on the walls and put down rugs). That’ll help a lot.
- Make sure the lighting in the background covers all parts of the screen. Have no shadows and consistent lightings all across if possible. Lighting is key for the green screen effect to work.
re: Budget…
What were you hoping to spend, just so I can put the word out. Editors come in all sorts of price ranges.
re: Logo Appear (intro/outro)
You can get great animated logo reveals done for cheap at http://www.fiverr.com Just look it up.
They can cost you less than $20, whereas a professional like Blair or Andy may cost much more. They’re all templated, but they can work for your first one. Take a look and see if there is one that goes with your theme.
October 6, 2017 at 11:46 am #57680Morning Brad
Thanks for the tips, especially about the sound.
Budget ….. $200 ….. to be honest I have no idea, I imagine someone who knows what they are doing should only take a few hours ?
Thanks again Brad for your help 🙂
Cheers
Dave
October 9, 2017 at 5:55 am #57834Hey @David, sounds good. When the video is finished, send me an email at guides@thegreatecourseadventure.com and either myself or Blair will do it for $200.Â
You’ll need to send all the assets in a dropbox folder (video file, music, background options (have at least to choose from, incase lighting or scene doesnt’ work), etc…
Look forward to helping you bring this idea to life.
October 9, 2017 at 12:23 pm #57916Wow …… thanks man 🙂
October 9, 2017 at 12:40 pm #57918Give me the heads up when you’re ready. 🙂
October 9, 2017 at 8:46 pm #57982Will do.
October 19, 2017 at 4:44 pm #59216Hi Brad
I am planning to have everything to you next week. We have just enrolled 3 beta students into our risk and safety courses. We are looking at enrolling our ‘beta’ students into our Cert IV course end of next month.
The real kick along was me spending 4 days in Sydney last week doing a face to face with my business partner to finalise things for our safety and risk courses.
Cheers
Dave
October 19, 2017 at 7:50 pm #59221Rock on!
Please send the footage, backgrounds, logo, background music and other assets to either:
- Google Drive to guides@thegreatecourseadventure.com
- Dropbox to bradidude@gmail.com
Either will work.
Also email super specific, clear instructions on what you want us to do with the video. (your vision and idea).
Clearer and more direct, the better 🙂
If need-be, we’ll hop on a call to hash it out if something’s unclear.
Blair or myself look forward to helping you put this together.
October 23, 2017 at 4:22 pm #59582Hi Brad
Unfortunately I am putting the video on hold (at this stage). Things are crazy busy at the moment, so I have decided to do the pre-sales page without a video. I already have 2 people who have committed to doing our course and (they will pay) and I am looking for another 2 -4 people and that’s it. I will do an email to friends and colleagues to next week. I will post the pre-sales page on the GEA forum for comment by the end of this week.
After launching our risk and safety courses last week, I am focusing on working out glitches in the LMS.
Thanks Dave
P.s how did you go with lifetime membership drive?
October 24, 2017 at 6:48 am #59714Hey David, no problem. All in good timing. Reach out when you’re ready and good luck with fixing the glitches!!
