This was a super fun one for me. I used the Medias Magic challenge to make a launch video for newsletter and a survey I created. I was a total novice at creating video when I started this so I learned a TON about video editing. So fun. The video will be embedded in a landing page I created using Thrive Themes. I will share that when it is ready to launch. Hope you enjoy everyone!

Great job Chris! Love the changing background that accentuates what you are talking about.
Question about the green screen though. How far away do you stand from the screen when you are filming? I’m having trouble finding that sweet spot, though it could be because of my poor lighting.September 9, 2016 at 8:15 am #30232
I am standing almost right in front of the screen, about 6″ probably. I have 3 studio lights (same ones Brad & Andy Recommended) on me so lighting is pretty good I think. There is a bit of a green tinge around my body and I can see it in my hair a bit. I’m not really sure how to get rid of this.
Hope that helps.September 9, 2016 at 11:28 am #30236
Yes, that does help. Thank you. I start filming my first module tomorrow.September 9, 2016 at 12:23 pm #30238
Very nicely done Chris! I am going to attempt my Medias Challenge this weekend I believe!September 11, 2016 at 10:26 am #30265
Thanks Elijah, looking forward to checking it out!September 11, 2016 at 5:11 pm #30271
Awesome job Chris. Wonderful job using Green screen. Love your presentation skills. Very engaging and truly passionate about your work.
I think the ONE thing that would take this to a whole new level is to invoke the emotion you want to pull out of people by incorporating background music. The music will have an even more powerful effect of delivering your message.
Go to eCourse Resources and check out some of the music resources there if you’re interested in trying this.
Can’t wait to see more videos from you Chris.
Can’t wait to see yours’ this week too Elijah.September 12, 2016 at 4:37 pm #30285
Great Thoughts on the Music Brad, That is not something I have played around with much in video. Would you recommend having it playing in the background the wholesome? or just during particular parts of the video? Any style of music come to mind watching that video?
Thanks for your thoughts!

I think the first thing to ask yourself is what vibe/emotion are you seeking to create for people watching this?
Is it doom and gloom? Is it hope? Is it happy? Is it adventure?
Then at one of the music resource sites we have in our eCourse Resource Campfire, you can litereally search “Hope Music” or “Inspiring Music” and then it’s just a matter of listening to a whole bunch, and trying the ones you like with your video until you find a match.
The one thing to remember is you don’t want the music to be super loud and overpowering. I usually turn it down to about a 12-15 out of 100 in the audio editor when you’re layering it into the video.
Hope this helps!September 28, 2016 at 2:52 pm #30557
I just went back to check the link you shared for the Medias Challenge. I submitted my video here back on Sept 9. It say’s my submission is still pending. Do I need to do anything else?September 28, 2016 at 3:08 pm #30561
JUST UPDATED that now Chris!
For some reason, we never got the usual “notice email” when someone submits.
But your 2500 Bajillion are in the bank now.
Don’t spend it all in one place 😉
How’s the course going sir?September 28, 2016 at 4:17 pm #30563
Hey Brad, Thanks!
I am in the process of the relaunch of my Natural Born Trackers e-course right now. It’s been open for about 5 days and has 11 registrations so far. I am launching a series of video’s and running my first live webinar to promote it. Would love to pull in 40+ ppl off this launch and I think it is a realistic goal.
I haven’t worked on my Emergency Preparedness course in a while, last 2 months got really busy with other work. I have the whole month of October off to focus on working on it and will turn my focus that way once I get the rest of the pieces in place for the tracking launch.
My goal is to Launch the Emergency Preparedness Course in January so I need to shift into high gear with it this month. You will see me on the Mountain a lot more in the coming weeks.
How are things going on you and Andy’s end?
