I’m in! I commit to writing 500+ words a day for my Loving the Multiple Mama eCourse. This is a fabulous challenge for me as I also want to finally write my book about twin birth.
So.. I set my intention and I start today.
November 6, 2017 at 8:36 am #61128Hey @mars, nice to see you’ll participate, too. Have you written a book before or will it be your first?
November 6, 2017 at 8:59 am #61139Hi @wewontbreak No, I’ve never written a book before. I’ve wanted to for the longest time and just have never really started. So this is a great challenge for me. Means I have to GSD
What about you? Have you written a book? I must go see what you’ve set your intention as.
November 6, 2017 at 10:22 am #61150Great that the challenge gave you the motivation to start the book project!
No, I’ve never written a book. I’m really tempted to write something interactive, like a workbook with homwork and tasks.
I wish you all the best luck for writing the book.November 6, 2017 at 10:50 am #61154So wonderful to see you tackling this month’s challenge.
I bet you are a natural writing as I know you love to talk and tell stories.
Starting a book is bold idea! I wish you the patience, love and persistence to finish it. It’s a long birthing process! : )
November 6, 2017 at 10:56 am #61161November 6, 2017 at 3:05 pm #61226YAY @mars
Did you know my youngest boys are twins? The second was born breech. That was an experience. I’m sure you’ve got many memorable stories!!!
The best writing advice I’ve ever heard is to write a first “crappy” draft to get all the ideas on paper. You can review the writing later for content, organization, clarity, and editing. Jodi Piccoult said, “You can edit a bad page. You can’t edit a blank page.” So just put your pen to paper (or your fingers to the keyboard) and let the words fly!!!
WOOHOO!
November 7, 2017 at 1:46 pm #61332Yeah! Go Mars!!! I’m with you for GSD! Excited for you to write your book! @laurakoller – love the quote you shared!
November 7, 2017 at 2:32 pm #61352Thank you all. I’m writing away. I have a couple of days before running my next doula course, so I’m hoping to do the weekend’s writing by Friday (my course is Friday through Monday)
November 7, 2017 at 3:14 pm #61366I’ve written up potential complications in a multiple pregnancy. And a general introduction.
I’m off to my favourite writing spot tomorrow, the theatre I’m Trustee at. So hopefully I’ll get a lot done.
November 8, 2017 at 7:41 am #61406Thank you @laurakoller for giving me the means to prove the amount of writing I’m getting done (and for letting me see how quickly I can smash the goal)
Here’s my link to this afternoon’s writing
November 8, 2017 at 8:05 am #61409I’m so glad you’re trying out the site!
The link you posted goes to the site’s main page. To link your individual stats, you can “View Today’s Stats” and at the bottom of that page it says something about configuring settings and there is a link to your stats page. That’s the link you can use to show off your writing prowess!
November 8, 2017 at 8:30 am #61417Okay, found the correct link – This afternoon’s writing
I put it on my blog to help build trust, traction and eventually interest in my Loving the Multiple Mamas eCourse.
Thanks @laurakoller
November 8, 2017 at 8:41 am #61423@mars – FYI the link still doesn’t work 🙁 Go to TODAY, choose VIEW TODAY’S STATS. At the very bottom of the page it says “Configure Sharing Preferences” and underneath that it will say “Shared Page Link” and that’s the one you cut and paste (or apparently tweet) Good luck.
All that being said, I didn’t need to see the link. As a twin mom, I was compelled to read your blog post. I didn’t realize you were a twin mom also! I loved reading it. You are so spot on. I identified with so many of the feelings and thoughts you expressed. Was that a first draft? If so, I am impressed. If not, I am still impressed. So well said.
Happy writing!
November 8, 2017 at 11:55 am #61441That was a first draft. My first drafts are often the best ones @laurakoller
I’m off to make that blinking link work.
