I have been thinking about the manifesto idea and this is what came of it. Not sure if it is a manifesto but I think it will do as part of my ‘about’ page for Storyself.

I’m not quite up to green screens yet…so I’ve cheated ๐Ÿ™‚ although the learning curve was way longer than I thought and I’m still getting the hang of things. But given that my courses involve fantasy writing it may be easier to do something along these lines as footage is very hard to come by.

I’d like to put a clickable link to my site (for when it is bursting at the seams with all the stuff I haven’t written yet…) but I don’t know how.

    Any ideas?

Ooo now I see how you are using that great written piece! It would be nice to have a voiceover to hear the words; I’m a super auditory person so that would really sparkle my fancy.

Do you mean you want to put a clickable link from the video to your site?
I think you just need to google how to annotate it…I just googled up this:

    Hope that helps!

This is so great @pennyclaringbull. Awesome that you invested the time to learn how to do this. Your skills are only gonna improve, the more you play. I’d love to hear your voice too, especially if it goes on your about page. It’ll build that connection.

As for making your Youtube video clickable, Jessica is right: Check out Youtube Annotations. There’s all sorts of stuff you can do there.

Or if you meant, embedding it into your website: That’s possible too.

If this video’s going to be embedded on your About Page though, I’d recommend uploading it to Vimeo. It is much cleaner when on a site ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks so much for taking the time to help out. And I think you’re right, I do need do voice, which I haven’t quite figured out yet but hey, I’ve got this far ๐Ÿ™‚
I’ll try your suggestions too – although I have to get some content up on that site first. Never-ending isn’t it?

You’ll get the voice piece, @pennyclaringbull. I managed it for a 5-minute piece I put together a couple of years ago, and if I can do it, you can do it {grin}.
