What I Do
I’m a writer (fiction and non-fiction) and sustainability educator with a background in anthropology. I love exploring fantasy, culture and the ways we construct meaning in the world. I’m also really into plants and their properties. I’m open to all sorts of approaches (that’s the anthropology side) but I’m also a trained scientist so I have an analytical approach to many things.
Kind of eCourse I’m excited to make
This is hard – I need help narrowing it. I’d like to bring my fantasy writing into creating guided meditations/imaginary worlds that help people connect to themselves and the natural world. I am also a trained journal-writing facilitator. Plus I love making plant-based products (scented, oily, buttery, yum…) I have a million more ideas…
What I am looking for in an Adventure Buddy
Probably someone who is a bit different to me so we both bring something new to each other. Also someone who is aware that I live in Australia because the time difference could be an issue, although I will work to make it work!
If you really knew me, you’d know that…
I’m a bit of a contradiction in terms of being very open to the mystical side of life but also analytical about it. It comes from having both an arts and a science training. I often find myself in a mentoring role with people, probably because I love it. I am great at committing to others and take the responsibility seriously, but not so good at doing it for myself.
Penny, what you are about sounds exciting and attractive. This especially:
“I love exploring fantasy, culture and the ways we construct meaning in the world. I’m also really into plants and their properties.”
I need to say that I live on the U.S. east coast, so don’t have a clue if the time difference will make reaching one another feasible or not. Nonetheless, I am drawn to what you have said. If you would like, take a look at my “Hunting” post and if you are interested, let me know. In any event, I wish you all the best.
Oooh, @sharynwa I love your post! But it came a few minutes after Kenneth the human chicken-pig and I sealed the deal…maybe we should also form group buddy-ups now and then, there are so amazing people on here and you are definitely one of them. It would be really interesting to see how others are progressing, but I’m sure @bradleytmorris and Andy have it covered. So please stay in touch!
