Timing 1: interp book soon to head into production, dovetails w/ eCourse stuff.
Timing 2: financial (spousal unit no longer working, and I want to generate more income without working more hours in a week than there are in a week)
Leadership and conviction: I have a strong sense of what this course (and its follow-on courses) can and should be, no one else is doing this (a couple courses out there, and they are NOT good), and I want to be the one who figures it out (and benefits from figuring it out).
(there are other reasons, too–curiosity, for example–but these are the biggies for “why now”)
I have a strong sense of what this course (and its follow-on courses) can and should be… Love your passion behind what you are doing!
I want to generate more income without working more hours in a week than there are in a week… Ha! So true! Great way to put it! With your passion, I’m certain you WILL!
Congrats on the book heading into production!!
I’m sure your ‘curiosity why’ will also add lots of flavor to your work!
Seems like a clear and wonderful why Judy. Curious how far along you are in your mountain adventure you are and when you want to launch your first course by (specific date?)?
Happy to be your supportive eCourse Adventure Guides and Freedom Friends!
Hey Bradley – I’m just finishing Mapora Meadows today (Sunday, Feb 19); wanted to launch first course by yesterday or a year ago <hahahaha> (slightly hysterical laughter). More realistically, by fall of this year (sooner if I can swing it). Tho as I’m typing this, I realize that I’m thinking that by fall, I want both my freebie-intro course ready to launch and at least one (but preferably more than one) module ready, too. And to coordinate with book launch, if possible, which I’m hoping will be no later than the annual National Assoc. for Interpretation conference in November.
Thanks, Bobbie Jo!
Sounds like a big exciting year Judy!
I offered some suggestions on your approach with your courses in another thread.
My suggestion is to map out all the tranformations and courses you wanna create and start with your freebie Walk in the Park and then lead that into a paid Trek. Doing that, you should definitely be able to get at least 1-2 paid mini courses out into the world by the fall time.
You’re doing great work. Excited to see it come to life.
