YES, it is a fantastic journey. My wish was to be so good that I can make what I see on my fantasy in a video, and I can see I am better to that every day.

I will be like a musician that can play the melodies he hears inside I will could make what I see in my fantasy 🙂

That for GEA – and all the cool inspirations there are 🙂

Here is the resultant of the video I had put together today. I like this method that I had made all the rough things first. I love to work on that stressfree way, and it is also faster for me to work on that way because I have more time in the end, so it gives me more time to the creative things I like.

Lesson03 have been here before on GEA, but I have to build it from scratch again, so I could train the new way to work before I started with one lesson per day in four days.

Lesson 06 – The Red level

    Hi all 🙂
Then I finished the last of the four videos where I was going to do a lesson per day. I thought it worked well. It’s much faster to produce a lesson when it’s all clear. So this method will I use in the future. Right now, I’m thinking about making the last ten lessons I’m missing in August. The problem is that I still need to make slideshows and the sites with the bullets, and at the same time, I also started on August 6th with a new job at Copenhagen City Hall. So I have to think about it first if it’s possible to get it all together.

Thanks to all for your support through this challenge, which I have learned a lot when I don it.

    Thanks, Rebecca @learnandgetsmarter

Nice to hear from you – I love “Stress News” too. It had been fantastic to start with nothing ten mounts ago and now are producing my first small eCourse. What a process it had been and what mountains for a beginner like me.

Because the course it is free I will not start up with an expensive LMS system, so I have a question to you, can you recommend me to build my free eCourse on Articulate 360’s software called “Rise.” I have Articulate 360 (My cartoon are from them). It seems quite easy to work with so that you can make an eCourse easily to a mobile device. Can you recommend it to a first eCoruse where you not shall sell anything, but just look fantastic. So I get some experience that I later can use on a good LMS system. Have you could convert “Rise” to other LMS systems?

My new job is to convert old fashion Danish paper stories to digital and lay them on the internet so more people can use them.

How did it go in your eCourse World?

Hi @xbobby, I am so thrilled for you with your course creation journey… you are a rockstar!

I agree that Rise is a great choice for creating interactive eLearning in a fast and simple way. I am using it too. I think that for your needs, Thinkific would be a great choice. You can get a free account on Thinkific to start. If you need more functionality (such as the ability to create course bundles) you can upgrade to a business account  (which is what  I  recommend)  for $99 a month (well worth it.. and with the business plan there are NO transaction fees from Thinkific when you enroll students).

You can compare plans and pricing here (these are my affiliate links, but  I would recommend Thinkific even if I were not an affiliate):

    http://shrsl.com/133kq

    https://askmotherrebecca.com/create-an-online-course/

    https://www.thinkific.com/?SSAID=1779201&sa=SAS_1779201

I’m working really hard right now to create a series of 12 short interactive action plans that will take you from no idea/too many ideas/complete overwhelm to having a complete membership site outlined (and easy to set up, especially on Thinkific) in 12 easy steps. It’s not ready yet but I’ll show you some screenshots here.

Meanwhile if you’d like to schedule a free strategy session with me sometime, I can give you a tour of the back end of Thinkific and show you how it would work to include your Rise and Storyline content in the Thinkific LMS (that’s what a lot of my action plans use). You do need to be on the business plan to be able to do that.

If you want to set that up sometime, you can schedule it here:

    https://meetme.so/RebeccaCuevas

Pick the free strategy session option.. I know it says 60 minutes but try to find a time when you have 2 hours free in case we need them.

Can’t wait to see how your site evolves! Congratulations on your course and your new job, that sounds exciting too!

Here are the screenshots of how the action plans bundle of 12 mini courses, that I’m working on, will look on Thinkific.

    Hi @learnandgetsmarter
Thanks for your good answer to my questions. Good to know that it is possible to integrate Rise and Articulate if I have the Business plan to $99, but it it not what I will spend know on that beginner level I am now.

So my question is, will I could make my free eCourse on the free Thinkific where I not should pay anything, because my course is free. Normally there is always something we should “pay” when something is free. So what shall I pay here, when it is “free.” I also like the design on Thinkific it looks cool and straight.

It also looks cool all the things you are doing. It is fantastic all the things you are doing, and I also remember that you were writing on a book also?

Maybee, I will use your offer one day 🙂

    Hi @xbobby,

You can, for sure, start building your free course on the free Thinkific site, for free. On the free plan, they do take out a 10 percent transaction fee, I believe, when a learner signs up for your school. (of course, 10% of nothing is still nothing.. but check with them). I would also write to them to ask whether you can use Rise with the free plan. I don’t think you can embed Rise directly into the Thinkific course player on the free plan. But if you have someplace else to host your Rise content, you could link to that from your free Thinkific course.

Thanks for your kind words. Yes, I am writing two books!

The first is being uploaded to CreateSpace by my book designer, right this very minute! I will let you guys know when it’s available to read.. so excited! Would love to have you on my launch team for the book.. (it’s free).. you can sign up here:

    https://members.learnandgetsmarter.com/courses/join-our-book-launch-team/

The other book is about how to teach online… a much bigger project. It’s mostly written, but I want to get my online school up and running first so I can link to it from the book, and so I can demonstrate that I am practicing what I preach (lol).

    Book

So that one will take a bit longer (I figure maybe up to a year from now) to launch. Once I have my two books, two websites, and two online schools up and running, I am really looking forward to making money! I don’t know why anyone calls it “passive” income though. It’s not passive at all… we work like dogs for it, lol. It’s asynchronous but not passive at all.

@learnandgetsmarter You are right – free is free, so long people don’t pay for it, so that is a good and easy way for me to start, so I not shall pay a lots of money every mounts for something I don’t need yet, and when I need it I shall pay 10 % or start on another place. I showed their long intro video yesterday, and it quite impresses what you get on the free version.

I think that the “payment” must be something with there logo you see, and maybe a URL where you see there name also. But for now, it is a perfect solution.

You can use Articulate 360 on the free version if you save what you make in Articulate as HTML5, and have it on another web-hotel, where you can link to it, so that is the an-okay solution for the free solution. I think the business solution is something when you upload a zip file to them and put it on the internet there.

I will give it a try on my first eCourse, and if it works fine and maybe use them in the future.

Thanks for your good advice – you know so much 🙂

I will also wish you luck with your book, and I am sure that I will buy it when it comes on a year or to.

I have tested it today with Rise under the free Thinkific. And put the link from Ris inside multimedia in Thinkific, and it works. There will be some problems with the navigations because you have two left menus, and you can also click next before you have ended the lessons in Articulate, but else it works perfectly.

That’s fantastic, @xbobby! When you say you used the link from Rise, was it the link from Articulate Review, or are you having Articulate Online host your files? The Articulate Review link works for the purpose of seeing how it will play in the course player, but it’s not a permanent solution because your course participants can use that same link to view ALL your articulate files, not just that one (the link goes to your entire Articulate Review site). I need to decide today whether to host with Articulate or with Thinkific (I have the business plan).. not sure which way to go. Thoughts?

About the two left side menus, I agree that’s a bit of a pain.. what I did was make a video that explains the navigation up front, and I will have that as the first lesson in the course.

Another thing I did which seems to help at least pscyhologically with the confusion from there being two course players, was to make the Rise course player the exact same color (copy the HEX code) as my Thinkific course player, so that when you expand the Rise course player to take up the whole screen, it LOOKS like the Thinkific course player (which is now hidden). See second screenshot.
