I read a great blog post about the value of creating book trailers.  Pretty powerful stuff, and already my wheels are turning on ideas for a video trailer for my eCourse.  Perhaps this will inspire others, too.  Bradley?  Andy?  I’d love to see you jump into the ring on this one.  A whole new world to explore!!!

Most Book Trailers Are Awful (But Here’s How Yours Can Be Different)

    Hey Laura,

We’ve done a couple trailers so far with great success.

The one is on our sales page.

The other is on our Masterclass page.

Both are intended to get you excited about the offering we are showcasing, while giving you some sneak peaks of what it offers.

I will also be creating a trailer for my Inner Focus Golf website.

Trailers are an awesome asset to have, especially when done well!

This is definitely a mini course waiting to happen!

What are you going to create a trailer for?

Well, duh me.  I believe I watched those trailers before I signed up.  Have you thought about doing an “eCourse Trailer” challenge, or do you already have one of those, too?

Even if you already have a trailer, I highly recommend reading the post and watching the book trailers anyway.  I never thought about using a video trailer at all, and I certainly never though about the distinction between using it as a tool to share details about the book vs. as an invitation to join a movement.  There’s some great ideas here, and a few of the examples were quite sentimental.

After reading the post and watching the trailers, I decided that I’d like to make a trailer for my Motivation Superhero eCourse.  The idea is to show regular everyday places filled with people (a busy sidewalk, a classroom, a hospital, a playground) and have someone – a regular everyday person – wearing a superhero costume in each of those places/video clips.  For me, the course is not just about making money.  It’s about inspiring people to realize their own motivation superpowers and then find the courage to use them to make a positive difference in the world.

That is a great challenge Laura. We will definitely do that, which means when we do you’ll get the “World Changers Badge” and a bunch of bajillion for helping to improve this imaginary world.

Here is another great trailer we came across today. We had Jan on one of our coaching campfires a couple months ago.

I really love the vision for your trailer. I think you could have a ton of fun with that too.

I have created an ecourse trailer that will be my free gift on my sales page.

It gives people a taste of the depth and beauty of this experience.

I like the trailer idea. It’s simple and doesn’t require a bunch of emails.

    🙂
