Hi everyone, So very lovely to ‘meet’ you all. Wow! So many great introduction videos…so I have spent the past week trying to piece something of my own together. I need to warn you though…my technical skills are pants! So please excuse what you are about to see!

A lot of you seem to be from Canada? I’m not, I’m afraid. I live in ‘sunny’ England! But I do have a Canadian dog…ooh, and some distant family who live in Canada! 😉

I just launched my website a couple of months back (hypnosatori.co.uk) and done nothing with it since then. Essentially because I know deep down it lacks sparkle and I want to make it glitter with the stuff before I feel proud enough to promote it. I currently have a stop smoking program consisting of 10 mp3’s for people to buy. This sets me out quite differently from most other Hypnotherapists as usually you get one session in a stuffy office for your dollar, or one 40 minute mp3.  So, what I offer is more of a course for them to go through and it is something they get to keep so they can go through it time and time again. But…it’s still not enough. It needs to have fun and interaction and that is why I’m here. To find out how to put that in.

The weight loss course I am doing is still ‘in progress’ of being written, and I am following it myself to lose weight because I firmly believe in practising what you preach! But I would also like that to be fun and different. There are thousands of weight loss courses out there, but not very many hypnotherapy ones and definitely not very many fun ones…so I think that needs to change!

The idea of creating a story for people to adventure through is particularly pertinent for Hypnotherapy also because we use a lot of stories in hypnosis for people to draw their meaning from and to help them to access their unconscious mind. When people ask me how hypnosis feels I often give them the example of getting lost in a book or a movie…and you are aware of everything whilst you’re doing it…but you get lost in the story and somehow reality blurs out a bit…that is hypnosis. So the idea of creating a story for people to adventure through as a course is ideal.

Essentially, I really want to help people overcome their difficulties forever and feel great doing it. I feel that what is on offer out there at the moment only serves to help people feel more miserable and perpetuates their issues. I want people to see that change can be fun AND successful because that old adage of ‘no pain, no gain’ is a load of BS!

Really looking forward to climbing that mountain!

P.S. Seems my video is too big to add to this post (I told you I wasn’t very technical minded!) So, I have added it to my dropbox. Here is the link for those that would like to view. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/zobxo0zj97ylena/AADn0ySwyIig3SYtKkkEuJBba?dl=0

Sara! Wonderful to meet you digitally here on the mountain.

I must say, I was held captivated by your story from start to finish. BRAVO for taking the time to craft that. You are a great storyteller with a wonderful voice for hypnotherapy! Your kids must have loved all the stories you read them.

I’m really excited about all your ideas and to help flush them out as you hike up this here mountain. Just keep the creativity flowing and don’t let “I don’t know how” stop you from following your inspiration.

We’ll figure out the how when you figure out the what that best suits your course and students. 🙂

Thanks for sharing and introducing yourself.

We’re thrilled to have you here.

Hi ho, hi ho, it’s off to Launch Summit we go…

Thank you Bradley, that means a lot! ‘I don’t know how’ now shelved so I don’t get hung up on it anymore! 😉

Love your intro Sara. Story telling is something I’m trying to get better at. Perhaps it could be a topic for a future course. I think you will do very well here.

Your intro is fantastic, Sara!   I love a good story and I loved how you told your story. I also resonate with what you said about getting lost in stories.

Your kids are so adorable!  The fingerprinting and Beatle eggs looked like so much fun and i loved the Wizard Of Oz concept for weight loss.

Brilliant!  And I mean that in the British way.  I squatted in Brixton, London for 2 years back in the 80’s when it was still legal.  Currently, I’m in Berkeley, California.

I welcome you and look forward to getting to know you better.

    Cheers!

Thank you so much Paulo and Akasha. It’s great to be here and I really look forward to getting to know you better also!

As for my kids Akasha..adorable is what they once were lol! Now, 18, 17 and 12..adorable seems to have slipped off their character list and been replaced with  typical teenage grunting! 😉

Squatting in Brixton! I bet you have a lot of fascinating stories to tell!! Hope to hear them one day 🙂

    Hi Sara,

Thankyou for introducing yourself. I haven’t been able to access your video but I read all the comments of others who obviously could. Love your concept. I have used Hypnotherapy in many situations, including childbirth and flying. I think you’re onto a winner!
