    @holdthepromise

Okay, I am ready to write an email to send to my hub. Here is the first attempt at a brief email. Am I on the right track? Would it feel good to receive this or is it too salesy?

    Thank you

    ………………..

    Dear (insert name),

I am reaching out because we work with a similar population of women – mothers.

My guess is that we are both passionately invested in the well-being of the mothers we work with, and we want to see our clients thrive in life. I also know that it takes a team of dedicated caregivers, such as ourselves, to support positive change in the lives of the mothers we work with.

I want to take a moment to introduce you to a program called Healing After Birth: Helping Mothers Feel Better About Their Childbirth Experiences.

For the past 18 years, I have dedicated my calling and studies to understanding the terrain of childbirth. More recently, I have been learning about trauma recovery, the neurophysiology of trauma, and healing. It is important to me to offer programs and services that are rooted in cutting edge science and professionalism.

As a Certified Trauma Recovery and Grief Counsellor, and a soon to be graduate of a Masters in Counselling Psychology (April, 2017), as well as an experienced doula and childbirth educator, and a previous student of direct entry midwifery, I have carefully crafted a therapeutic program for mothers who have experienced a traumatic and/or difficult childbirth experience.

There are two options to choose from: a) online and b) an in-person group (Edmonton)

Thus far the results have been powerful and positive, with a handful of anecdotal testimonials. I am using an assessment tool called The BirthMARQ, pre and post program, which assesses the impact of a woman’s birth experience. (Insert results from latest pilot program). Thus, I am committed to creating a program that generates lasting changes for the lives of mothers.

You can learn more about the program HERE (insert link)

If you know any mothers that are struggling in the postpartum or even years after the birth, and you think they would benefit from receiving therapeutic support, please consider referring them to this program.

You can refer them directly to the website: http://www.JenniferSummerfeldt.com OR you can refer them to my email: jennifer.summerfeldt@shaw.ca  or phone 780-902-6264 and I would be happy to answer any questions they may have.

I have created a mini introductory powerpoint presentation HERE that offers insight into the challenges that many mothers face, birth trauma, and how healing can help.

Finally, I am creating a resource handout for my clients, and I would like to include your name and service, along with a brief description of what you offer and the benefits of such a service. Please email me with details to include in this resource flyer.

    Thank you kindly,

    Jennifer Summerfeldt

Great work Jennifer. I shortened it a whole bunch by taking out your bio (they can find that on the website if they want). Feel free to edit even more   🙂

    Dear (insert name),

I am reaching out because we work with a similar population of women – mothers.

I want to take a moment to introduce you to a program I created called, “Healing After Birth: Helping Mothers Feel Better About Their Childbirth Experiences.”

For the last ___ years I have been offering this program in person to mothers who had traumatic birthing experiences. The results have been both powerful and positive, which has inspired me to create a high quality online version as a way to reach more mothers in need.

You can learn more about the program HERE.

If you know any mothers that are struggling in the postpartum or even years after the birth, and you think they would benefit from receiving therapeutic support, please consider referring them to this program.

You can refer them directly to the website OR pass along my email and phone number: jennifer.summerfeldt@shaw.ca  or phone 780-902-6264. I would be happy to answer any questions they may have.

I can even send you a pre-written email to share with them if that makes it easier.

Finally, I am creating a resource handout for my clients, and I would like to include your name and services, along with a brief description of what you offer and the benefits of such a service. If you would like to be a part of this, let me know in the response and I will send you more details.

    Thank you kindly,
    Jennifer Summerfeldt

PS: I have created a mini introductory powerpoint presentation HERE that offers insight into the challenges that many mothers face, birth trauma, and how healing can help.
