Hi, Bradley and Andy (suspect this is mostly Andy question) –
2nd time’s a charm; I managed to just lose my entire message <sigh>
Since the website changes, the auto-email links do not go to the step within the eCourse that they should go to unless I am already logged in (at least I think that’s the determining factor). Instead, they go to the “sign up for this cool course” page, where I finally found a tiny icon in upper right that led me to login place, which then takes me to the page that has profile kinds of things on it, with nav stuff across ~ upper third with tabs for notifications, messages, etc. There’s no indication there that tells me where the auto-email came from or wants to point me to.
In addition, the auto-emails seem to be triggering before I’ve actually completed the step(s) that it thinks I’ve completed, e.g., today’s, “Join Us for Tea with the Campfire Shaman” landed on a page that had the message, “go back and complete the previous step” at the top of it. I’m not actually sure which step it was for; I’m assuming something in Creatora Heights, since that’s the checkpoint I’m working through currently.
last but not least: my background image seems to have disappeared (there’s a solid or maybe mostly solid brown bar instead), and I thought I used a different headshot, too (can’t swear to that for sure; the one that’s displaying now is one I used for a long time, is probably still floating around in various places, including one that’s supposed to be an autofill thing which I can no longer find). Anyway, is/are image(s) hiding/glitching somewhere because of changes? Should I just re-insert images?
Thanks –April 25, 2017 at 4:52 am #39149
I am having a similar issue. When I go to log in I get sent to the 14 day free course page and have to click a tiny link in the corner to get to the actual page.April 25, 2017 at 11:00 am #39176

Figured out what the problem was with the login redirect issue. All good now. From now on, you’ll be taken to the right page after logging in 🙂April 26, 2017 at 4:32 am #39306
Ummm…better, but not quite working yet. It takes me to login page, which then goes to sign-up page. I returned (via browser back button) to login page, re-entered pswd, and then it went to this page (i.e., where the email link should have directed to). Logged out, tried again (in case I’d done something weird or the effect had to do with stuff in cache), this time, when I went back (i.e., from signup to login page), tried the “go back to the eCourse” link that’s under the login field without my pswd (because it didn’t autofill when I went back to that page) and landed on what was probably the sales page (didn’t look long enough to verify). Went back to login, entered pswd, then it went to the page it was supposed to go to directly after login (which I think means that it worked after re-logging in both times, but I’m kinda losing track).April 26, 2017 at 9:57 am #39318

Okay that’s quite strange… I’m gonna be working on fixing these little bugs over the coming days this week.
I just tested and for me, when i get an email and click the link:
If logged in: it takes me direct to the right page.
If logged out: it takes me to login page, then redirects to the right page after login.
Seems to be working perfectly.
The one issue im working on at the moment is that i usually have to log in once every day, which tells me there is a cookie issue.
But beside that minor annoyance, everything seems to be working fine.
Get email > log in (if it asks) > get taken to desired page.
As for the profile page:
We changed our profile system, so it’s not a bug.. You will just need to upload a new profile/cover photo in your profile. Super quick and easy.
Let me know if you have any trouble at all.. Im here to help 🙂
As for getting taken to a lesson you havent started yet… That may be an issue with our autoresponders. I believe we may have set it so that if a few weeks goes by and you still haven’t completed a lesson, it sends you the next email to the next lesson to encourage forward movement. I can see how that could be confusing, so ill chat with Brad about it today and see what we can do.
Thanks Judy!April 26, 2017 at 10:43 am #39320
Thanks, Andy – I was still logged in when I rec’d the email with your most recent post, and that link came directly to your response and the reply box where I’m typing. I’ll see what happens next time I’m logged out–and will re-do the image stuff when I have a spare minute or three. re: the auto-remiders–I suspected something like that. Not a big deal, just figured while I was mentioning stuff that seemed off, I’d include that. I don’t remember if it was the same before the recent changes or not.
Thanks again 🙂
