All right, here we go. This is my first day. I’m going to get through this first lesson today and go for the second one tomorrow. I’m liking what I’m seeing so far. I think this will be good.

    My big why

I’ve already kind of retired, so my why has only a little to do with money. I really am trying to pass along what I’ve learned over the last few years about why we cause ourselves so much pain and struggle. I have accepted this as a mission to help as many as I can to be freed from the kinds if inner pain and struggle that I went through in my life.

This will also be kind of a legacy to my kids and grandkids. A public way to show them what their Dad and Grandpa is/was all about. To show them that life fulfillment is possible and comes from serving others.

I’ll be taking a trip to visit some friends and family while still high from reaching an important life milestone.

    Transformations

The first, and the one I am focusing on in my first course, is the idea that we can each consciously take control of the thoughts and feelings that flow through our minds sub-consciously.

I will start with the walk in the park experience. I can see my courses building and growing through each step of these course styles.
    2. What is the transformation or skill you’d love to build eCourses around and share with the world?
The journey from where they are to the place where they know that they can consciously control and change the lies from their past and can intentionally grow into their desired and personally designed future.

My what and why’s were pretty clear cut. But the Who-this exercise was enlightening.

It seems I would be teaching that previous version of me. Same frustrations and motivations. I am just the guy to show them a clear way out.

I can’t wait to find where they’re hanging out.

I will be able to use much of what I have already created, but I will have to redo all the videos-and gladly so.

The steps will remain the same, but I will have to add some ‘ambiance’ vids to build the theme and feel

I love where you’re going with this @Dean.

If there’s anything I’ve learned from all the online meditation stuff we’ve done, it’s that guided audios are powerful ways to help people shift habits, thought patterns and go through real transformations. So just remember that. They make great tools!

You’re going in a fantastic direction there! That was the most powerful thing I learnt when building my community!

Thanks for the confirmation, Jonathan. I thought it was just a passing bit of insight, but a ‘powerful thing to learn’ is something to hang onto. Thank you.

For me the most I’ve gained from GEA has been the first sections of the course, where you’re discovering what you’re building and the mindset behind it. The parts about building courses and tech etc is great! But the beginning is what keeps me moving! 🙂

Hey Jonathan, I’m finding the same thing to be true. I have what I believe is a great idea, I know it works because I’ve helped several others, but it is only going thru the first parts of this course that I’ve been able to actually figure out what I am selling and to whom.

btw How many courses have you built with this process? You sound quite experienced and you participate frequently. Feel free to drop any other knowledge bombs on me you think might help. This my first course.
