    Hey Everybody,

My Name is Chris Gilmour and I live in a beautiful forested landscape in central Ontario, Canada. For the past 12 years I have worked and taught in the outdoors. I have worked as a back country wilderness canoe and dog sled guide, taught tracking and ecology at Sir Sanford Fleming College, Helped to found and now direct a wilderness skills camp for kids (http://www.pineproject.org) and mentor others in an array of skill sets including: wilderness survival, emergency survival and preparedness, tracking, ecology and helping mentor others who want to work in the outdoors. I am also a part time student doing a post graduate in Emergency & Disaster Management and have began gaining working experience in this field as well.

I signed up for this course because I find a common problem my students and peers face is figuring out how to balance personal training and development, finances and other life commitments in a very complex and busy modern world. I’m interested in learning how to best use the e-learning platform to make education and training more affordable and accessible for students and creating opportunities for teachers to generate more income while still having personal time to tend their own inner fire and pursue their own training.

I have a number of ideas at the moment for potential e-courses and I look forward to narrowing it down and picking on to be my first e-course launch.

I feel most alive when teaching a passionate group, training in martial arts and when I am out in the wilderness for extended periods of time.

I’m looking forward to going on this journey with everyone and climbing the mountain together!

It’s wonderful to have another adventure guide on the mountain with us @chrisg!

I’ve taken some wilderness survival training myself and and LOVED it. I back onto 140 acres of old growth forest, creeks, a waterfall and a path to a sandy ocean beach. So blessed and so grateful for the nature connection.

I am really looking forward to help you craft your course my friend.

Thanks so much for the great work you’re doing and for saying yes to this wild eCourse adventure.

Excited to help you ground into your FIRST eCourse idea and then to create it.

Hello, Chris! Love seeing Ontario faces!

I have just been checking out p.i.n.e project with my kids in mind and am putting the Tracking Club on the list of things we should do. I have too many kids for the Family Camp or that would be on the list, too. 🙁
