I’m Sharyn Warren. For 40 years I was a psychotherapist, specializing in clinical hypnosis. And I incorporated the spiritual dimension by building a 36′ Chartres-style canvas labyrinth and leading workshops and retreats. On Feb. 17, 2014 I had a funky little near death experience. Experienced my non-physical being-ness wafting around in some perfect well-being universe with other non-physical beings. It was lovely. Then I woke up with my husband’s finger in my mouth to clear my air passages, and my son yelling that ambulance was on the way. To this day, I am sorting it out. But one of the ripple effects was that I knew immediately I was closing my successful private practice and ending a career that I had carefully nurtured for all of my adult life.

And embarking on a new ADVENTURE!

I currently have a small coaching business, that used to go by the name of Inner Fire Coaching, but I recently changed that to Inner Fire Magic. You won’t find it online because I pulled down my old website and am still in the process of discovering who I am being in the world and creating an online “home” that reflects what my Heart and Soul are all about. I have a notion of offering courses under the umbrella of School of Practical Mystery.

While I am not yet as clear as I intend to be about the “what”, the “who” that I am here to serve are described in this way:
1. Spiritually untamed, independent. Wisdom and meaning seekers who are not bound by the conventional or cultural limitations of our current religious or even scientific understandings.
2. Have felt “different” their entire lives, and in fact have uniquely specialized, uncommon gifts, talents, capabilities and interests.
3. Despite their discomfort with being “different”, they have not been able to ignore the feeling, an “inner fire,” that they are here for a special purpose.
4. And they are stuck, a little fearful, and kind of lonely.

While sitting at my kitchen table 3 days after that Little NDE, I was asking myself “What now? I get that my old professional life is done. But I am not through. Not by a long shot. So, Spirit, what’s next?”
And the word that popped in my mind was BLISS. 3 times. Like “check this out. BLISS.” Seriously?!?
Dammit, I thought. Another weird ass assignment. First my very common name is spelled differently–a lifetime of spelling it for people. Then I go into Clinical Social Work. Who the hell knows what that is? Then I take up with labyrinths long before they became she-she. Then I have this crazy NDE and what pops up? BLISS. I was a little frustrated. But who turns their back on an invitation to explore BLISS?

So I have embarked on this journey, this wonderful, challenging, sometimes scary adventure of discovering everything I can about BLISS that I can.Because I have come to believe that is the paradigm that is necessary for our next big adventure as a species. This business of “healing” every damn thing is so very limiting. And limiting.
I want to share with others in a crazy, fun, unforgettable, life changing e-course adventure. I have been invited many times to use different language. Despite Joseph Campbell’s best efforts encouraging us to “Follow our bliss and invisible doors will open where there were only walls before…..”, bliss is not a word that people feel all warm and fuzzy about. But it won’t go away, so that is what I am going with. That and “wyrd”, and old anglo-saxon word that refers to our personal destiny predicated on acceptance of nature, especially our own. It is also the root word for “weird” and “word.” Magic in every bit of it. That’s my story and I’m sticking with it.

Why I signed up for The Great eCourse Adventure: I am exactly like the people I choose to work with (of course). I’m “different.” I have been wanting to create a course that is fun, exciting, engaging, compelling, interesting, liberating and irresistible. In a word – adventurous and exciting and something worthy of sharing with others. I just haven’t known how. So I am hoping this is what I have been looking for.

What makes me come most alive is: NEW. New solutions. New thoughts and ideas. New understandings. New frontiers. New possibilities. New experiences. New insights. New perspectives. New landscapes. New discoveries. AND, sharing those discoveries with other Adventurers and Seekers. And supporting other “differently” gifted Beings who know it is time to emerge from their cocoons to come one out and fly. There is nothing to fear and so much to be added and gained.

Lots of big hopes here. Now I am off to try to find a buddy. This is SO EXCITING.
