I was just checking out http://Www.fiverr.com Anyone used this before for graphics or images? If so what did you think?

I have used them once and I was happy with the results. I have heard that it is really hit or miss depending on the seller.  I thought about putting my graphic design services up on there but never got around to it.

If you decide to give it a try, here’s a great article on how to choose a fiverr seller.

I’m interested to see how this conversation goes too! I’m so wary of getting anything through Fiverr – I’ve heard some awful stories. As an alternative, have you considered putting out a message in a FB group like Freedom Hackers or Freelance to Freedom? I found my logo designer on FH and it just seems a bit more personal, and a bit less risky and anonymous, ya know? You can also get recommendations which is reassuring, and it’s turned out to be about half the cost of some of the other fully established logo designers I looked at. Just an idea!

I’ve used them tons of times, in fact, Andy and I are hiring someone to do a Fiverr gig right now for the workbook we’re handing out for our webinar. (will keep you posted)

We also used Fiverr for the opening scene in last weeks’ art of ecourse creation webinar (voice over with scroll).

I’ve used Fiverr for logos, posters and tons of other stuff.

It is hit and miss. Communication is key. You must be extremely clear on your vision, otherwise you’ll get mediocre results.

A red flag to watch for is poor english and grammar when they get back to you. The language barrier is probably the most challenging thing, though I have had great success lately. I think the competition is pretty high so peopel are forced to step up their game.

I’ve used fiverr a few times. My first two experiences were OK but my most recent experience was amazing. This guy went above and beyong what I expected. It was such an amazing experience. Got my $$’s worth and then some. So I guess the advice I can give based on my experience is just take the time to choose wisely who you want to work with on there.

I got the do a 2d or 3d logo design package he has. I got my logo in different sizes, i got jpg png 3 different logos, favicon, fonts and color codes, He gave me so much that has been so useful as I build my website now. He took his time doing it but was totally worth the wait.

thanks for the link and recommendations – I poked around fiverr but was overwhelmed by number of people and I don’t have a very good eye for logos so I’m not sure how to assess skill. will check out the guy you mentioned, and the facebook page

Well my first Fiverr experience was a miss. Even after 3 revisions the guy really was no where close to capturing my concept. He had good reviews but I think communication (or the lack of ability to communicate) was a major barrier. I am open to trying again for other jobs but I think I would seek out a recommendation from someone I know personally.

The good news is I met a graphic designer (in person) last wknd and she is almost nail it her first attemp. She is tweaking it right now and I should have it ready to share with the group by Monday. Her rates are very reasonable, comparable to Fiverr, she is really creative and really listened to my concept.

If anyone is interested I can connect you with her. She charges is Canadian $ as well so for all you Americans that’s a 30% discount
