Walking fox animation 1 — I can see lots of small things to change on this, but trying to get over the “immediate perfectionism” and have fun with the learning

Wowsers! This is awesome! Look at that little guy strutting his stuff!

    Go you! What an achievement!

How are you finding the learning curve? Would you recommend the programme? And is it Anime Studio (which I think is called Moho now, is that right?)? I’m so tempted to give this a try!

    🙂

Next experiment – adding in sound effects and music! (I didn’t draw the character though)

Hi Lisa – yes, this is Anime studio pro 11, now its called moho and they are on version 12. It is professional animation software so it’s not initially intuitive to learn, but I’ve been working my way through some tutorial videos and it’s starting to make sense. I’ve had it for a few years and am finally making the commitment to learn how to do it. I can see it’s going to be fun but also animation is pretty time consuming at least at the beginning. I’d recommend it if you want to learn to animate, but it’s a bit like learning photoshop or something.

This is amazing Catherine. Are these stock images or do you make these characters from scratch. So curious.

Clearly you’re learning fast and having lots of fun!

Hi Bradley! The Fox character I made from scratch out of lines and shapes. The Gorilla one and the Crow come with the program. It’s a bit like creating puppets once you make a character and give it a skeleton you can move it around and various things automatically, re-use it in different scenes etc.
