For those following our progress..things are going well, quite well. The biggest hurdle is using LearnDash’s less than easy admin build courses.

We are almost finished with our entire System!

Last step is the gamification.

And, we have an interesting situation. Gamipress, which is fantastic for using with LearnDash, does not integrate in with PeepSo. This means we can’t award points for social interaction. And, it’s a-la-carte add-ons get expensive, really fast. It would cost close to $250 to do what MYCRED does in the free version.

So, we went back and looked at MyCred, because you get WAY more features for WAY less money. And it integrates right into PeepSo.

BUT… saw that recently, the developer has announced he is abandoning the plugin in 5 days on May 7, 2018 (see the homepage).  This means unless someone takes over, there will be no support or updates for future WordPress releases. This could be bad for security, performance…etc.

Yet, since MyCred is so widely used, I imagine someone will likely take over and keep it rolling. But using it is a potential risk….the question is….is it one worth taking since it offers so much more?

UPDATE: Our custom LMS is complete. We actually finished it last month, but have been focused on reaching launch summit. WHICH WE JUST DID!

All of our marketing is in place, our very simple, yet super effective funnel is live, and the LMS is ready to enroll students!
